Golden Gate Point is a 22 acre peninsula of land located one block from downtown Sarasota. The land was originally called Cedar Point and was owned by circus magnet John Ringling. A wave of new development has transformed this neighborhood into one of Sarasota's most coveted addresses. There is a major street improvement project that will begin in late 2007.
