Fed Leave Interest Rates Unchanged

The Federal Reserve announced to today that it will not raise interest rates after two years of rate hikes. The benchmark federal funds rate remains unchanged at 5 1/4 percent. The FED is unlikely to cut rates soon, however many believe that the cooling housing market and a slowing economy will lead to rate cuts next year. The news is another good sign for the Sarasota real estate market.
