Chris Moon has called Sarasota “home” for over 30 years. She was born in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois but grew up in Sarasota, Florida after her Mom vacationed here and decided it was the ideal place to raise a family. She attended college at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and began a rewarding career in Human Resources Management, working for several Fortune 500 companies throughout her corporate career.
After a few years, and several very cold winters in Boston, Chris decided to head back to sunny Florida and was part of the Grand Opening Team at Universal Studios in Orlando where she was responsible for recruiting and training employees for the new theme park when it opened in 1990. She was then offered the opportunity to work for Walt Disney Imagineering, the creative design division of The Walt Disney Company, where she served as Human Resources and Staffing Manager, responsible for hiring the top creative design talent for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Disney Cruise Line.
Corporate Experience and Real Estate Expertise
Chris was first introduced to real estate when she recruited and hired residential and commercial real estate agents for the Town of Celebration, Florida, the master-planned community developed by Disney. Her entrepreneurial spirit lead her to start her own consulting business and her clients included The Orlando Sentinel, Central Florida News 13, Ginn Development International, Ringling College of Art and Design, Nickelodeon Hotel Suites and The Longboat Key Club & Resort. She was attracted to the field of real estate because of her love for architecture and enjoys introducing newcomers and families to Sarasota neighborhoods.

Chris Moon is a licensed Florida Realtor and member of The Sarasota Association of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. She has earned the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation which distinguishes her as an expert in her field. She specializes in working with relocating families, first-time homebuyers and those seeking to make Sarasota their vacation home away from home
Chris represents both buyers and sellers and has expert market knowledge in the West of Trail, Siesta Key, Longboat Key and Palmer Ranch communities. She is the creator and sponsor of The Home Trolley Tour which features an open house tour and scenic trolley ride through some of Sarasota’s most desirable neighborhoods. Spending time with her kids, serving on the PTA at Southside Elementary School, and community volunteer projects keep this busy working Mom and Realtor on the go.
