On the 17.6 acres site of the former Colony, Unicorp National Developments, Inc has plans for the five-star St Regis Resort Spa with a 166 room hotel, 69 ultra-luxury condominium units, two restaurants and a 15,7000 sf spa. On March 16, 2018, the Longboat Key town commission voted 6-1 to approve the plan. Construction will begin October 25th this year and completion of the project is slated for Summer 2025. Prices start in the $3 millions and go up to $13 million plus.
